Untitled Rants.

Sometimes, we take things that we can do for granted. So much so that we often forget how to treasure whatever we have.

While waiting for friend at some bus stop earlier on, a bunch of school students approached me. One of them showed me their phone with a mount faber written on the msg screen. Taking things for granted that everyone can hear me or anyone talking, i simply asked if their asking for directions. They then signalled to me that they’re deaf. But i couldn’t get them to the right direction. They signalled thank you and boarded some random bus and asked the bus driver using the same method. They managed to get the correct direction from the bus driver and alighted, headed off to other bus stop, laughing out loud for doubting their friend.

It got me wondering. How i take things for granted. Things that i’m blessed with when i’m born. Such things given to us were taken away from them. But, they managed to cope with with disabilities and made the best out of whatever they have. Salute them for their courage and for showing me that things shouldn’t be taken for granted once again.

The ability to talk and hear things could be taken away from anyone at any point of their time. Same goes to whatever that we have, be it ability, someone you love, something you cherish or a future we might have. I’ll treasure them. You should too. Enjoy the simple things in life, maybe it’ll make life easier and more enjoyable.

Am so looking forward to the planned trip.
